Picture Books of the Past: Celebrating M&G’s Collection
The Museum & Gallery turns 75 this year! To celebrate we’ll be taking a journey into the past to highlight some of our most fascinating paintings. As you learn to “read” these beautiful masterworks you’ll discover amazing characters, captivating stories, intriguing symbols, and interesting facts about time periods and painting techniques.
For example, did you know that painters in the 1400s used egg yolks to create their paints? Yep, the same kind you eat for breakfast! Join us for this wonderful adventure through the ages!
